RESOLUTTON <br />HONORI'NG THE <br /> <br />C£NTRA CABARRUS HXGH $Ci-!00 <br /> <br /> I. AD Y VXKXNGS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Central Cabarrus High School Softball Team, the "Lady Vikings," <br />became the North Carolina High School Athletic Association 3A Softball Champions on <br />May 20, 2000, defeating the softball team of C. B. Aycock High School 14-0; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the championship victory by the Lady Vikings was the culmination of <br />a highly successful 2000 softball season, having an impressive 27-0 record; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the team's pride and commitment to excellence was symbolized by <br />dedication and hard work both on and off the playing field; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Lady Vikings, through their display of good sportsmanship, <br />motivation and inspired team play, have brought great honor not only to the team <br />members but to their school and the entire community. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE ZT RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners salutes the Central Cabarrus High School Lady Vikings for an <br />outstanding 2000 softball season and for winning the State 3A Championship and <br />extends this expression of pride and commendation to each team member, members of <br />the coaching staff and all others associated with the softball program at Central <br />Cabarrus High School. <br /> <br />Adopted this the 19t~ day of _~une 2000. <br /> <br />Arne L.
