Kannapolis Board of Education
member, Linda Johnson, was appointed by the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners
for a three-year te~-m on January 27, 1998. Her term on the Kannapolis Board of
Education expires on May 31, 2000; therefore, a new Kannapolis Board of Education
member will need to be appointed for this position on the Cabarrus County Parks and
Recreation Commission.

Linda Johnson has been a key member on the Cabarms County Parks and
Recreation Commission and has provided valuable input concerning school/park
improvement and recreational programs.

Attached is a fax from Karmapolis City Schools Board Clerk, Nancy Barger,
stating that Lee Efird was nominated from the Karmapolis Board of Education to
represent Kannapolis City Schools on the Cabarms County Parks and Recreation
Commission.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
