Little, Director <br />Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department <br /> <br />Su~e~: <br /> <br />Recommendation for Current Mowing Contracts for Cabarrus <br />County Properties <br /> <br />According to the approved contracts, the current mowing contracts will expire on <br />December 31,2000. Cabarrus County, at its sole option, may extend the <br />contracts for an additional two-year term by giving written notice to the <br />contractors prior to the expiration of the initial term. Also in the contract <br />agreements, the County will adjust the awarded contract by the consumer price <br />index (released by Federal Government on February 1st annually). <br /> <br />Following are the summaries of these two current mowing contracts for the <br />County properties: <br /> <br />Companies <br />H & R Lawn Services <br />Barnhardt's Lawn Service <br /> <br />District <br />East <br />Central/North <br />Total Mowing Contracts <br /> <br />Amount <br />$15,528.48 <br /> 37.910.00 <br />$53,438.48 <br /> <br />According to staff recommendation and satisfactory work inspections, it is <br />recommended to renew the contracts with Bamhardt Lawn Care and H & R Lawn <br />Care for an additional two years. Both of these companies have completed good <br />quality work for the County.
