5~9 Resolution No. 2000-29 RESOLUTION CONFIRMING T~ R~GULA~ME~TING SC}~ULE FOR CAL~NDARYEAR 2001 W~EAS, the regular meetings of the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners are currently held on the third Monday of each month at 6=30 p.m. id the Co~m~ssioners' Meeting Room at the Governmental Center~ and WH~RF2~S, the Martin hu~her King, Jr. Holiday and the National Association of CoUnties Annual Conferemce require a ch--ge in the regular meeting dates in January -~d July, 2001, respectively. I~OW, '£~FORE, BE ZT RESOL%-SD, the Cabarrus County B~ard of Co~n~seioners, pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40 (a), does hereby reconfirm its reqular meeting schedule to meet on the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioners' Meeting Room at the Governmental Center wi~h the exception of =he January 2001 meeting which will be held at 6~30 p.m. on Monday, january 22, 2001, a~ the July 2001 meeting which will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday~ July 23, 2001. Mr. Allen Furr of 263~ Plantation Drive, Concord, stated in his opinion the fireworks displays at the Concord Motorsports Park present no problems and there is ~o need to change the County's noise ordi~nce to address this issue. C~SBZONERS DzSCUBSION & R~BRONSE TO INPOP~L PUBLXC CO~'q'/~8 (if needed) Chairman Fennel advised Mr. Furr that the Board is scheduled to consider fireworks displays and t_he noise ordinance at a future meeting. Vice Chairman Carruth commended Mr. Barnhart, Mrs. Casper and Mrs. Carpenter for their service as County Commissioners. Chairman Fennel again ~xpreseed appreciation to the three former commissioners for their service to Cabarrus County.
