CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Meeting Date: 12/18/00 <br /> <br />Agenda Item <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee <br /> <br />The terms of appointment for Ms. Katie Foster and Ms. Claire Behrens-McGuire will end on <br />December 31, 2000. Linda Miller, Ombudsman, stated that both are "wonderful volunteers." <br /> <br />Ms. Foster has served on the committee for 7 consecutive years; therefore, the Board would need <br />to make an exception to the Appointment Policy to reappoint her for another 3-year term. Please <br />note it is difficult to recruit volunteers for this committee, and there are currently 7 vacant positions <br />on the committee. <br /> <br />Ms. Behrens-McGuire has completed her initial 1-year term of appointment and is eligible for <br />appointment for a term of 3 years. <br /> <br />Also, an application has been received from Joe Behm expressing an interest in serving on the <br />committee. <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: Consider the reappointment of Katie Foster for 3 years with exception <br />to the appointment policy and the reappointment of Claire Behrens-McGuire for 3 years.
