SA LEVELS OF CARE SYSTEM <br /> <br />Ts-eatmeut Levels at Cabarrus Family Recovery Ceuter <br /> <br /> This is the SA Level of Care System its implemented at Cabarrus Family Recovery Center. It is <br />based on the Piedmont Area Clinical Guidelines (dated 3/20/97). There is some difference between the <br />"Court Ordered" levels and the Clinically Recommended levels because of state mandated differences in <br />Assessment. <br /> <br /> · Followiug :m lnd!vidual Assessmeut Session of at least 60 miuntes clients will be staffed by[ - <br /> the SA team iucluding Subst:mce Almse Counselors, a particilmnt from Mental Iiealth Services, <br />laud a Physic,au. Tile Treatmeut team will determine tile required level of care and the physician <br />Iwill authorize oue of tile following treatment programs for clients: <br /> <br />A. Pre-treatme~//'!.':!::::ii These services include Alcohol and "Drug Education Traffic School (ADETS) and <br /> Ea ly :!nterver~t!o¢:::.; the Basic Education Program. The ADETS program follows the North Carolina <br /> Curriculum Mauual published by tile Division of MH/DD/SAS. These programs are <br /> '..: ::~i..-}i::ii':::.:.:' :~...i. relatively standard m cost, content, time and scope across the state. Our program is <br /> :~:i::. ii;:' :i! .':::.::.:;:.: taught by Bill Wilson, who consistently receives high ratings fi'om his participants. <br /> The Basic Education program consists of three 90 minute sessions of introduction to <br /> Substance Ahuse Trcalmcnt. It is Ihe th'st 3 sessions ofbolh the Short Term <br /> Program and the Moderale (Basic (?are Program.) 'The Basic Education <br /> ..... . component occurs two times in the tim week of treatment and then one time in the <br /> '::::: ~ ??:'"?:.:'?;~' second week. If the client is to move on the Short or Moderate Treatment, they <br /> · ..i'i:?::?:: <br /> : .i :i: ::. ::' begin two sessions per week in the third week of participation at CFRC. Clients <br />'' "~i :i :. currently pay $10.00 per session for this service. <br /> <br /> B. Short Tel'm OP This level tffcare includes the two weeks (3 sessions) of Basic Edt,cation in which a <br /> Treatment family ,nember participates and at least 5 additional weeks of treatment in which a <br /> · . family member participates. In a treatment week, the client and t~amily member will <br /> attend two 90 minute group sessions. Family participation is preferred but not <br /> requis'ed, at this level. Individual arrangements can be made to "compensate" for <br /> lack of family participation under special circumstances. Random drug screens at <br /> :i:i: i:::!" ' separate clieut expeuse are a compoueut of this level of care. <br /> C. ModerateTerin.'..I This is also known as the Basic Care level. This program consists of the two week <br /> OP Treatment ' Basic Edttcation Program followed by either a 8 week or 12 week program of two <br /> 90 minute sessions per week. (If there is family participation, the client may attend <br /> 10 weeks, if there is no family participation the client must attend 14 weeks.) <br /> Rmulom drug screens are part of this program aqd the cost is separate from <br /> that of treatlnent sessious. <br /> D. Intenaiye OP .. The Intensive Prograln uses the 14 week Basic Care progrmn as the basis ora more <br /> Treatment intensive program through the inch,s,on of the following components: Men's <br /> Group, Women's Group, Continuing Care Group, Relapse Prevention Group, and <br /> Client involvement in appropriate support group meetings outside the treatment <br /> · : :.::) :::: :': .: program. Each of the Groups listed above consists of one 90 minute session per <br /> week that can run either concurrently or consecutively with the 14 weeks of Basic <br /> . ' care; based on the client need and response to treatment.
