GRANT AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Ct* <br /> <br /> Recipients must use the grant document ("Grant Agreement") provided by <br /> the Agency in the Forms section of this Administrator's Manual (the <br /> "Manual"). <br /> Program funds may be paid from the Recipient's account only after the ~ <br /> foflowing: <br /> 1) a Grant Agreement has been executed with the property owner on the <br /> form provided by the Agency; <br />2) a construction contract has been executed by the property owner and <br /> the contractor that is undertaking the work, whether this contractor <br /> is an independent firm, an affllla~ firm or the Recipient. <br />No new Grant Agreements oblige.ting P~..f...~. ~.t~s may ~.~.~...esuted ~r <br />the date of completion. Grant Agreement executed prior to the date of <br />completion may be amended after that date by no more than 15% of the <br />original amount in order to accommodate necessary changes to the scope of <br />work (change orders). <br />Recipients must use, and retain in individual eases files, the following <br />documents in completing grants under the Program: <br />1) Grant agreement <br /> <br />2) Recipients are responsible for having signatures notarize~.. <br />With Agency approval, Grants may be assumed by new owners if the <br /> <br />trnmction i~ deemed to have no negative impact on Program goals. <br />However, the recipient must certify that the new owner-occupant is -- <br />Program-eligible and complete a new Grant Agreement with the new owners <br />in which the recapture period is reduced to the remainder of the original <br />owner's te,~. -- <br />Recipients m~t bare the following documents properly prepared prior to ............... <br />executing a Grant Agreement with a homeowner: <br />1) Application and Eligibility Certification - <br /> <br />2) Work W .r~e-U~p and Cost Estimate; and <br />3) Construction Contract <br /> <br /> <br />
