Despite the small number of members, they are very dedicated and hard-working with faithful attendance at meetings, <br /> trainmg, and facility visits. <br /> <br />2. Good working relationship with residents and staffat facilities. <br /> <br />3. Excellent with facility visits and follow up on concerns and issues. <br /> <br />4. Consistent and good working relationship with regional Ombudsman. <br /> <br />5. Extensive knowledge of the local Cabarrus county community and available resources. <br /> <br /> COMMITTEE CHALLENGES <br /> <br />1. Constant administrative and staffing changes in facilities. <br /> <br />2. Filling positions on the committee in a swift and timely manner with dedicated and committed volunteers. <br /> <br />3. Educating the general public about long term care issues. <br /> <br /> COMMITTEE SUPPORT <br /> <br /> Comm/ttee members are trained and supported by the Ombudsman program of the Centralina Council of Governments, <br />Area Agency on Aging, Region F. <br /> <br /> Local back-up support is provided by the Cabarrus County Department of Social Services.
