Box 707 <br />Concord, NC 28026-0707 <br /> <br />Subject: Resolutions for Application of State Loans and Grants <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Clifton: <br /> <br /> Enclosed are four (4) resolutions that will need to be adopted by the Cabarrus County <br />Board of Commissioners (Commissioners) in order to make application with the State of North <br />Carolina for loan and/or grant funds, pursuant to the Federal Clean Water Act Amendment of <br />1987, the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act Amendment of 1996, and the North Carolina Clean <br />Water Revolving Loan and Grant Act of 1987. The resolutions authorize the application for <br />loan/grant funds for: approximately 3,000 linear feet of 6-inch water line, including Odell <br />Elementary School; approximately 7,000 feet of gravity sewer from a tributary feeding Rocky <br />River north of Harris Road to Odell Elementary School; approximately 10,500 linear feet of <br />15-21 inch gravity sewer to serve the Muddy Creek basin, including Bethel Elementary <br />School; and approximately 34,000 linear feet of 8-30 inch gravity sewer to serve the Adams <br />Creek basin, including Mt. Pleasant High School. <br /> <br /> I respectfully request that the Commissioners adopt these resolutions at their next <br />regular meeting. <br /> <br /> The Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County will adopt two (2) resolutions at <br />their meeting of March 18, 1999, in support of application by Cabarrus County on the projects <br />for the Muddy Creek basin, which includes Bethel Elementary School and the Adams Creek <br />basin, which includes Mt.
