Roush Racing World Headquarters Development <br /> Concord, Cabarrus County <br /> <br />Roush Racing plans on relocating its world headquarters to Concord, Cabarrus County, <br />North Carolina. Roush has purchased one hundred and five acres on Highway 29, South <br />of Roberta Church Road. The headquarters will house our existing race teams, <br />manufacturing center, product distribution, show car programs, merchandising <br />operations, marketing and licensing units and museum. Additional facilities will be <br />constructed for tenants within the industry, to make this site the pinnacle of racing in <br />North Carolina. It is our intent to construct a total of fourteen facilities. <br /> <br />The facilities to be constructed are: <br /> <br />Phase I Seven, forty thousand square foot race shops; Two, thirty thousand square <br /> foot warehouse/storage buildings; One, forty thousand square foot <br /> manufacturing facility and one, twenty thousand square foot multi-tenant <br /> facility. <br /> <br />Phas~ II One, one hundred and fifty thousand square foot museum. <br /> <br />Phase III Two, four story, eighty thousand square foot office buildings. <br /> <br />All of the facilities constructed will be within the same aesthetic theme utilizing, <br />masonry, glass and standing seam metal roof, presenting a unified corporate park image, <br />Of the one hundred and five acres, thirty-five acres are heavily wooded and will remain <br />so, supplemented by additional plantings along the frontage of Highway 29 and the site <br />interior. <br /> <br />Access to the offices and race shops wilt be via a central boulevard off Highway 29 for <br />the employees and public. Access to the rear of the shops for the car haulers will be via <br />an access loop road. This loop road can also be utilized for shakedown work prior to a <br />race. <br /> <br />Roush Racing currently employs two hundred and forty persons. Approximately two <br />hundred of those individuals are currently residents of the Greater Metropolitan Charlotte <br />area. New employment opportunities will be filled by local applicants when possible. <br /> <br /> <br />
