02/22/99 11:47 F?~T. 170¢4249595 I~,U~ CHARLOrt~ ~004/02! <br /> <br />Cabarrus County <br /> <br />Year 2000 Readiness Audit Proposal <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />1,1 Background <br /> <br />On February 10, 1999, Keane met with 3'ohn Day, Deputy County Manager and Jean Kennedy, Chief <br />Information Officer of Cabin?us County tn discuss Cabarrus County's request for a third-party <br />enteq~ise-wide audit of the organ/zation's Year 2000 read/ness. <br /> <br />The Year 2000 compliance problem is widely viewed as a technical information systems issue Cabarrus <br />County has corr~tly reco_,~nived that the impact of Year 2000 compliance is more far-rcaohing in ils <br />enterprise, and that other significant known and unknown business and legal risks exist because of thc <br />millenium change. <br /> <br />1.2 The Cabarrus County Challenge <br /> <br />Caban-us County h~ begun inibaJ Year 2000 remediation, but is uncertain of the overall corporate status <br />of thdr Year 2000 progress. Furthermore, a Readiness Audit bas been requested to provide <br />recommcmd~tions and improvement areas in their Year 2000 efforts. <br /> <br />Keane is pleased to be able to present this proposal for a Year 2000 Readiness Audit to address these <br />concerns of Cabanus County. <br /> <br />1.3 Keane's Proposal <br /> <br />Keane proposes the use of its Year 2000 Audit Methodology found in Resolve 2000e, Keane's industry. <br />leading approach for Year 2000 Compliance. A d~tailed overview of Keane's approach and deliverables <br />for this project can be found in Section 5, the l~ojcct Approach section of this proposal. <br /> <br />1.3.1 DEUVERABLES <br /> <br />Keane will provide to Cabarms County the following deliverables as a result of th/s effort: <br /> <br /> Statcrncnt of Work - A detailed definition oiprojcct scope, approach, roles and responsibilities, <br /> dellvcrablcs, time and cost estimates, change proccd~cs, acceptance criteria and project schedulc~. <br /> <br />· Productivity Management - This deliverable is comprised of those activities required to ensure the <br /> coordination, control and delivery oraI1 tasks and deliverables associated with this project.
