I
wish to appeal this decision to the Cabarrus County Commissioners.

Phase V will not begin until June, 2001. In order to accommodate access to these later
phases, design changes will have to be made on the second entrance road into Porters
Landing servicing phase IV. I am asking for preliminary approval so that I can feel
comfortable in making the necessary road design changes. The second entrance into
Porters Landing will be constructed this summer. Please find enclosed the subdivision
layout to clarify my explanation. I wish to express my interest in contributing five
hundred dollars per lot for the 94 lots of phases V & VI to be used toward school
construction. I would like to make these funds available at the filing of my final plat for
phase V.

Best Regards

Gfillard A. Mervin Jr.
