NOTICE OF OFFER TO PURCHASE AN INTEREST <br />IN REAL PROPERTY FROM CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br /> Pursuant to N.C.G.S. 160A-269 and upon motion made and duly seconded at the <br />February 15, 1999, meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Cabarms County (the "Board"), <br />the Board proposes to sell approximately 12+/- acres of County Property located on U.S. <br />Highway 601 Bypass (the "County Property") by negotiated offer and contract, subject to upset <br />bid. An upset bid has been submitted and an offer has been made for the County Property by <br />the State Employees' Credit Union in the amount of $500,000.00 (the "Bid") under the terms of <br />a purchase contract (the "Contract") on file with the Clerk to the Board, a copy of which is <br />available in her office. <br /> <br /> Any person has ten (10) days from the date of publication of this Notice to increase the <br />Bid by not less than ten percent (10%) of the first One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) Bid and <br />five percent (5%) of the remaining Bid. To raise the existing Bid, a new bidder shall deliver to <br />the Clerk to the Board a deposit of five percent (5%) of the increased Bid, together with an <br />executed offer in substance similar to the Contract, and the Clerk to the Board shall thereafter <br />readvertise the offer for the amount of the increased Bid. The closing date for this upset bid period will be at $:00 <br />p.m. on Wednesday, April 21.
