NOTICE OF OFFER TO PURCHASE AN INTEREST IN REAL PROPERTY FROM CABARRUS COUNTY Pursuant to N.C.G.S. 160A-269 and upon motion made and duly seconded at the February 15, 1999, meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Cabarms County (the "Board"), the Board proposes to sell approximately 12+/- acres of County Property located on U.S. Highway 601 Bypass (the "County Property") by negotiated offer and contract, subject to upset bid. An upset bid has been submitted and an offer has been made for the County Property by the State Employees' Credit Union in the amount of $500,000.00 (the "Bid") under the terms of a purchase contract (the "Contract") on file with the Clerk to the Board, a copy of which is available in her office. Any person has ten (10) days from the date of publication of this Notice to increase the Bid by not less than ten percent (10%) of the first One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) Bid and five percent (5%) of the remaining Bid. To raise the existing Bid, a new bidder shall deliver to the Clerk to the Board a deposit of five percent (5%) of the increased Bid, together with an executed offer in substance similar to the Contract, and the Clerk to the Board shall thereafter readvertise the offer for the amount of the increased Bid.
