Pleasant ~iqh School. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Casper, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Resolutions. <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 1999-04 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CABARRUS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR STATE GRANT APPLICATION BY CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br />The Federal Clean Water Act D~nendments of 1987, Federal Safe <br />Drinking Water Act Amendments of 1996, and the North Carolina <br />Clean Water Revolving Loan and Grant Act of 1987 have authorized <br />the making of loans and grants to aid eligible units of <br />government in financing the cost of construction of wastewater <br />treatment works, wastewater collection systems, and water supply <br />systems; and <br />Cabarrus County (County) has need for and intends to construct a. <br />water supply project involving the addition of approximately <br />3,000 linear feet of 6-inch water line including appurtenances <br />from Untz Road to Odell Elementary School; and <br />The County intends to request State grant and loan assistance for <br />the project. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE C;%BARRUS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />TNAT: <br /> The County will arrange financing for all remaining costs of the <br /> project, if approved for a State grant and loan award. <br /> <br />The County will turn the completed system over to the City of Concord <br />for operation, maintenance, and administration of the system. <br /> <br />The Commissioners of the County agree to include in the loan agreement <br />a provision authorizing the State Treasurer, upon failure of the County <br />to make scheduled repayment of the loan, to withhold from the County <br />any State funds that would otherwise be distributed to the local <br />government unit in an amount sufficient to pay all sums then due and <br />payable to the State as a repayment of the loan. <br /> <br />Frank Clifton, County Manager, of the County, and successors so titled, <br />is hereby authorized to execute and file an application on behalf of <br />the County with the State of North Carolina for a grant or loan to aid <br />in the construction of the project described above. <br /> <br /> <br />
