Tax Management Associates, Incorporated <br />Business Personal Property Audit Services Contract <br />Contract Number 99-71-013 <br /> <br /> This contract made and entered into this /~ day of '--,~ , 1999, <br />by and between CABARRUS COUNTY, a political subdivision of the State of North <br />Carolina, hereinafter called the COUNTY and TAX MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATES, <br />INC., a corporation authorized to conduct business in North Carolina, hereinafter called <br />TMA, to assist the COUNTY in the performance of audits to verify the accuracy of <br />business taxpayers' listings of personal property, application for present use value, and <br />motel/hotel occupancy tax reports. <br /> <br /> Contractual services may begin on.~ ] ¢ ,1999, or upon full <br />execution of this contract, whichever is the later date. <br /> <br />SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the COUNTY desires to obtain audit services as authorized by the <br />North Carolina General Statutes, to verify the accuracy of information contained in: <br /> <br />(1) <br />(2) <br />(3) <br /> <br />Business Personal Listings <br />Motel/Hotel Occupancy Tax Reports <br />Present Use Value Applications; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, TMA agrees to provide said audit services for the COUNTY <br />pursuant to the charges, temis and conditions of this Agreement; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the promises mutually exchanged, the <br />parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. SERVICES <br /> <br />In accordance with the charges, terms and conditions contained in this Agreement, <br />TMA agrees to furnish audit services to verify the accuracy of taxpayers business <br />personal property tax listings, present use value applications filed with the County <br />Assessor, and moteFhotel occupancy tax reports filed with the County Finance <br />Director. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br /> <br />
