PROPOSED FOOD SERVICE CONTRACT This contract between Cabarrus County Sheriff's Department (hereinafter referred to as "Client") and Correctional Foodservice Management, 5727 N. Black Canyon Highway, Phoenix, AZ 85015, (hereinafter referred to as "CFM"), is entered into as oft_his day of September, 1999. WITNESSETH WHEREAS, Client is responsible for the operation, maintenance and management of Cabarrus County Jail (hereinafter "Site"). WHEREAS, CFM is in the business of providing food service and desires to provide sUch service to the Client at the Site under the terms and conditions hereof. NOW, THEREFORE, with intent to be legally bound, and in consideration of the covenants and promises hereafter made, the parties hereto agree to the following: ARTICLE I: FOOD SERVICE REQUIREMENTS 1.1 General Engagement: Client hereby engages CFM to provide the following scope of food services at the Site: 1.2 Scope of Services: CFM agrees to furnish nutritious, wholesome and palatable food to the Client in a manner consistent with the following standards as applicable: Recommended Dietary Allowances, Food and Nutrition Board, National Academy of Sciences. 1.3 Food Service Supplies: CFM shall purchase and pay for all food products, cleaning supplies, and other expendable items necessary for the day to day operation of the food service operation under this Agreement. 1.4 Meal Service: CFM shall be notified by Client of the actual number of meals to be ordered each day at a mutually agreed time with deletions within an agreed time prior to meal service. When such notice is not given, CFM will prepare the same number of meals as prepared for the previous day, and deliver the same meals at the specified times agreed upon by CFM and Client.
