Canaday, Sheriff <br /> <br /> On The Retirement of <br />Nevin Lee Robinson, Deputy Sheriff <br /> September 30, 1999 <br /> <br />Officer Robinson joined the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office on December 29, 1982 <br />after having worked for the North Carolina Department of Corrections. <br /> <br />Officer Robinson is a veteran of the United States Navy. <br /> <br />He is married to Linda Ferguson Robinson and they have 3 children. <br /> <br />During his career with the Sheriff's Office he has served as a patrol officer, court officer <br />and jail officer. <br /> <br />Officer Robinson is an active Mason and Shriner and gives a lot of his time to support the <br />charitable activities of those organizations. <br /> <br />Officer Robinson has done an outstanding job with our department, especially working in <br />the jail where he has the ability to deal with agitated and hostile individuals in a manner <br />that calms them without allowing the situation to get out of hand. <br /> <br />We will miss Nevin and wish him well in his future endeavors. <br /> <br />RO.
