(Brad) Lagano and William E (Eddie) Moore were recently certified as members of the <br />Amedcan Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). <br /> <br />The Amedcan Institute of Certified Planners, the professional Institute within the Amedcan Planning <br />Association, certifies practicing city, regional, urban and rural planners and promotes continuing <br />education and professional development. Certification requires a combination of specific education, <br />and extensive experience, plus passing a dgid examination. A hallmark of AICP membership is <br />adherence to a stdct ethical code of conduct. <br /> <br />Brad Lagano is a graduate of the State University of New York with a Masters degree in Geography, <br />and has worked for Cabarrus County since 1997. Before his employment here, Brad worked for <br />Lancaster County for 3 years. <br /> <br />Eddie Moore joined the Cabarrus County Planning Services staff in April of this year. He is a graduate <br />of East Carolina University with a Bachelors degree in Urban and Regional Planning. Eddie came to <br />Cabarrus County from the Village of Bolingbrook in Illinois where he had worked for the last four years. <br /> <br />The certification of Brad and Eddie as members of the Amedcan Institute of Certified Planners bdngs <br />the total number of ce~fied planners in the Planning Services Department to four. Mike Byrd has been <br />a member of AICP since 1995 and I have been a member since 1994. <br /> <br />Cabarrus County residents can be confident that this membership ensures a high level of planning <br />professionalism, as well as, a standard of ethical conduct. <br /> <br />I am proud to honor Brad Lagano and Eddie Moore before you for this professional achievement. <br /> <br />· Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
