<br />Proclamation - Hurricane Floyd Relief Day (October 23. 1999)
<br />
<br /> At the suggestion of Vice Chairman Fennel, the Board amended the
<br />proposed Proclamation to include "Hurricane Irene".
<br />
<br /> Commissioner Carpenter reported that donations for hurricane victims
<br />would be accepted at the Cabarrus County Fairgrounds on Saturday, October 23,
<br />from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. A tractor-trailer donated by Terminal Trucking
<br />will be at the site and will transport donated items to a Rocky Mount
<br />warehouse for distribution to hurricane victims in eastern North Carolina.
<br />Commissioner Carpenter asked for donations and/or volunteers to assist at the
<br />disaster relief collection site.
<br />
<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Vice Chairman Fennel
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Proclamation as
<br />amended.
