Resolution No. 1999 RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE REGULAR MEETING SCHEDULE FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2000 WItEREAS, the regular meetings of the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners are currently held on the third Monday of each month at 6:30 P.M. in the Commissioners' Meeting Room at the Governmental Center; and WHEREAS, the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday and the National Association of Counties Annual Conference require a change in the regular meeting dates in January and July, 2000, respectively; and WItEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 153A-26 requires that the Board hold an organizational meeting on the first Monday of December for each even-numbered year. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners, pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40(a), does hereby: (I) Reconfirm the Board's regular meeting schedule to meet on the third Monday of each month at 6:30 P.M. in the Commissioners' Meeting Room at the Governmental Center with the exception of the January 2000 meeting which will be held at 6:30 P.M. on January 18, 2000, and the July 2000 meeting which will be held at 6:30 P.M. on July ,2000. (2) Resolve that an organizational meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on December 4, 2000, in the Commissioners' Meeting Room; and (3) Establish the following meeting dates for the calendar year 2000: January 18,2000 (Tuesday) February 21, 2000 March 20, 2000 April 17, 2000 May 15, 2000 June 19, 2000 July ,2000 August 21, 2000 September 18, 2000 October 16, 2000 November 20, 2000 December 4, 2000 (Special Organizational Meeting) December 18, 2000 (4) Resolve that any recessed, special or emergency meeting will be held as needed with proper notice as required by North Carolina General Statute 153A-40.
