Martha Foster

Martha Foster retired from the finance department on November 30, 1999. Martha
worked for me for thirteen years and before that with the Health Department for
seventeen years. Martha started when she was nineteen years old. Martha is married to
Pete, and has two children, Randell and Bryan. Bryan is married and she is now a
grandmother to a grandson, Noah. I can't really say enough good things about Martha.
She is the kind of employee everyone hopes for and wished they had one hundred more
like her. Martha by nature, is a very quiet person and never complains. You learn to
respect Martha for the things she doesn't say. She is a very dedicated worker, always on
time and willing to do whatever is asked. Martha was one of the key individuals
responsible for the payroll. Martha could have retired earlier, but stayed on to help with
the conversion of payroll to a new system, again displaying her loyalty and dedication to
Cabarrus County. Martha will be greatly missed in our department. We would like to
wish her well in her retirement and God's blessings upon her and her family.
