461 <br /> <br />Resolution Conflrmin~ the 1998 Regular Meeting Schedule <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION 0f Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Mills and <br />unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Resolution. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 1997-44 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONFIP~4ING THE REGULAR MEETING SCHEDULE <br /> FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1998 <br /> <br /> ~4EREAS, the regular meetings of the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners are currently held on the third Monday of each month <br />at 6:30 P.M. in the Commissioners' Nesting Room at the Governmental <br />Center; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday and the National <br />Association of Counties Annual Conference require a change in the <br />regular meeting dates in January and July, 1998, respectively. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners, pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A- <br />40(a), does hereby reconfirm its regular meeting schedule to meet on <br />the third Monday of each month at 6:30 P.M. in the Commissioners' <br />Meeting Room at the Governmental Center with the exception of the <br />January 1998 meeting which will be held at 6:30 P.M. on January 20, <br />1998, and the July 1998 meeting which will be held at 6:30 P.M. on <br />July 13, 1998. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the meeting dates of the Cabarrus <br />County Board of Commissioners for the calendar year 1998 are as <br />follows: <br /> <br />January 20, 1998 (Tuesday) <br />February 16, 1998 <br />March 16, 1998 <br />April 20, 1998 <br />May 18, 1998 <br />June 15, 1998 <br />July 13, 1998 <br />August 17, 1998 <br />September 21, 1998 <br />October 19, 1998 <br />November 16, 1998 <br />December 7, 1998 (Special Organizational Meeting Required by <br /> State Law) <br />December 21, 1998 <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any recessed, special er emergency <br />meeting will be held as needed with proper notice as required by <br />North Carolina General Statute 153A-40. <br /> Adopted this the 15th day of December, 1997. <br /> <br /> /s/ Sue Casper <br /> Chairman, Board of Commissioners <br />ATTEST: <br /> /s/ Frankie F.
