Multi-Jurisdictional Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance <br /> <br />2.2 <br /> <br />The parties understand that the services set forth in this Agreement are part ora multi- <br />jurisdictional effort between the Cities of Concord and Kannapolis, Cabarrus County, <br />and the Towns of Harrisburg and Mount Pleasant (the "Constituent Jurisdictions"). In <br />order to facilitate communication between the Consultant and the Constituent <br />Jurisdictions hereto, Kevin Ashley is hereby designated the Project Manager for this <br />project. The Constituent Jurisdictions shall appoint a Project Team with one contact <br />person designated by each Constituent Jurisdiction for purposes of coordinating with <br />the Consultant. <br /> <br />3. Character and Extent of Consultant's Services <br /> <br />3.1 <br /> <br />General Description of Services. Consultant shall prepare a Multi-jurisdictional <br />Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance (the "Ordinance") for the Constituent Jurisdictions. <br />Said Ordinance may be adopted either through an inter-governmental agreement, or <br />may serve as a model for adoption separately by each Constituent Jurisdiction. The <br />Ordinance shall be provided in a word processing format compatible for use by each <br />Constituent Jurisdiction. <br /> <br />3.2 <br /> <br />Detailed Scope of Services. A detailed scope of services, precisely describing the <br />Tasks involved in the work program, is attached as an addendum hereto and identified <br />as Exhibit A. <br /> <br />3.3 <br /> <br />Meetings. The City and Consultant agree that meetings bet~veen the City Staffand/or <br />voluntary or elected public bodies and Consultant will be required in the execution ora <br />number of the work Tasks described in Exhibit A (hereinafter the "Scope of Services"). <br />The minimum number of person-trips and meetings for each associated Task or group <br />of Tasks is described in Exhibit B attached hereto. Consultant ma~v, at Consultant's <br />discretion, bring additional personnel to meetings, subject to budgetary limitations <br />specified in Section 4 of this Agreement. The use of telephone conferences to clarify <br />points or share thoughts are a part of the cost of each Task as described in Exhibit A. <br />Additional meetings other than those described in Exhibit B may' be agreed to by the <br />City and Consultant if approved by the Project Manager, and Consultant shall be <br />compensated on an agreed upon time and expense basis unless otherwise agreed to. <br />Time costs will be based on the hours worked and the hourly costs listed in Exhibit C. <br /> <br />3.4 <br /> <br />Time of Perf0rmance. Consultant shall undertake the scope of services described in <br />Exhibit A. Consultant shall commence work within thirty. (30) d~'s of receipt ora <br />fully executed copy of this Agreement.
