Margaret L. Stevenson to the Nursing Home Co,unity Advisory <br />Committee for an initia~ term of one year ending January 31, 1999. <br /> <br />~eco~nition of District Court Judges <br /> <br /> Chairman Casper suggested that the Board consider recognizing the retiring <br />judges with portraits to be placed in the Courthouse. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Mills with <br />Commissioners Barnhart, Mille and Niblock and Chairman Casper voting for, the <br />Board approved the placement of the judges' portraits in the Courthouse and <br />agreed to invite the two judges to a Commissioners' Meeting to make a formal <br />presentation of the portrai=s. Further, it was suggested that's reception be <br />held prior to the meeting. <br /> <br />U~date on the Animal Shelter <br /> <br /> Chairman Casper reported that Sheriff Robert Canaday had advised that the <br />new Animal Shelter should be ready for operation ~he third Or fourth week of <br />February. <br /> <br />Board Retreat <br /> <br /> The Board discussed the scheduling of a Board Retreat at the Graylyn <br />Conference Center in Winston-Salem on a Friday and Saturday during the month of <br />March.
