Comprehensive Teen Court Plan <br /> <br />Corporation: Cabarrus County. Mediation Center Incorporated <br /> <br />Judicial District: 19A Fiscal Year: 1997-98 <br /> <br />Section B: Goals. Identify the goals of the Teen Court program in this judicial district: (1) the <br />number of juveniles who will be referred to the Teen Court; (2) the number of juveniles who will <br />be accepted as being appropriate for a Teen Court hearing; (3) the number of juveniles who will <br />attend their Teen Court hearing; (4) the number of juveniles who will successfully complete their <br />Teen Court sentence. <br /> <br />The following are the goals for the Teen Court Program as they relate to the first year of <br />implementation (FY 98/99) and subsequent years. <br /> <br />For FY 98/99 (first year of actual implementation): <br /> <br />· That the Teen Court program will receive 64 referrals from a variety of sources. <br /> <br />· That of the 64 referrals received, 52 will be accepted into the program. <br /> <br />· That of the 52 accepted into the program, 42 will attend their Teen Court hearings. <br /> <br />· That of the 42 who attend their hearings, 36 will successfully complete their sentences. <br />For subsequent years following FY 98/99: <br /> <br />· That the Teen Court program will receive 84 referrals from a variety of sources. <br /> <br />· That of the 84 referrals received, 76 will be accepted into the program. <br /> <br />· That of the 76 accepted into the program, 68 will attend their Teen Court hearings. <br /> <br />· That of the 68 who attend their hearings, 62 will successfully complete their sentences. <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
