ADVISORY BOARD <br /> Illil I'AIIIIBA <br /> The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners will consider' <br /> appointments to a County Criminal Justice Partnership Advi- <br /> sory Board as authorized by N.C. General Statute 143B- <br /> 273.10 on April 20, 1998. The advisory board will participate <br /> in a planning process to develop a Community-Based Correc- <br /> tions Plan and shall, to the greatest extent possible, include the <br /> following members: County Commissioner, County Manager, <br /> Superior Court Judge; District Court Judge; District Attor- <br /> ney; Criminal Defense Attorney; Public Defender; County <br /> Sheriff; Chief of a City Police Department; Probation Officer; <br /> Community Service Coordinator; and one member from each <br /> of the following service areas: Mental Health, Public Health, <br /> Substance Abuse, Employment and Training, Community- <br /> Based Corrections Programs, and Victim Services Programs. <br /> Further, the advisor~ board shall include the following public <br /> representatives: <br /> "Member of the Bus£ness Community; <br /> * Member of the community ~vho has been a victim of a crime; <br /> ° Members at large, includingpersons ~vho are recovering'from <br /> chemical dependency or are previous cotrsumers of substance <br /> abuse treatment services. <br />The public is encouraged to apply for membership. Interested <br />~ersons who meet the above criteria should contact Susie <br />Bonds, Clerk to the Board, at 788-8110 by April 8, 1998 to ap- <br />ply for appointment to the advisory board. Applications for <br />appointment are also available at the County Manager's Office. <br /> <br /> <br />
