Week <br /> In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and caused the <br /> seal of Cabarrus County to be affixed. <br /> /s/ Sue Casper <br /> Signature <br /> April 20, 1998 <br /> Date <br /> <br />Proclamation - Child Support Awareness Month in Cabarrus County (April 1998) <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by co~issioner Niblock with <br />commissioners Carpenter, Niblock and Earnhart and Chairman Casper voting for, the <br />Board adopted the following proclamation. <br /> <br /> CHILD SUPPORT AWARENESS MONTH IN CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> A PROCLAMATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the children of Cabarrus County are provided <br /> paternity, support establishment and enforcement services by the <br /> Child Support Division of the Department of Social Services; and <br /> WHEREAS, there is a need to make the public aware of this <br /> service as one that is available to all citizens who have dependent <br /> children in the home and receive no child support from their natural <br /> parents; and <br /> WHEREAS, there is an ongoing need for parents to provide <br /> financial support for their children as an expression of love; and <br /> WHEREAS, many concerned and dedicated judges, district <br /> attorneys, clerks of court, sheriff's personnel, and child support <br /> professionals work to provide this service to Cabarrus County's <br /> children. . . our future; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cabarrus County Board <br /> of Commissioners does hereby proclaim the month of April, 1998 as <br /> CHILD SUPPORT AWARENESS MONTH IN CABARRUS COUNTY and urges all <br /> parents who are currently under court order to regularly pay their <br /> child support. <br /> This the twentieth day of April, 1998. <br /> <br /> /a/ Sue B.
