O. Box 107
Concord, NC 28026

Dear Mrs. Straub:

The N.C. Depa~iment of Health and Human Services has offered a grant to extend the
4-H PACK Program by the amount of $27,763.00. This award will enable us to offer another
site for the middle school day camp program and extend the hours so more working parents can
take advantage of it for their children.

To do this, we must have one more assistant director for that site (4-H Summer Program
Director) and three 4-H Summer Program Teachers. It is necessary to have all these positions
because we will be open from 6:45 am until 6:00 pm each week. Since we will be primarily
utilizing teachers, they will not be able to work the full eight weeks of the summer program.
This number will enable us to fulfill the requirement of the number of adults supervising youth
in a program.

Thank you for your assistance.

Sincerely yours,

Linda F.
