Outen,~ C- (~~ <br />Extension Agent, Famil~k~and Consumer Education <br /> <br />School-Age Care Grant Proposal <br /> <br />July 6, 1998 <br /> <br />Enclosed are two copies of the School-Age Care Grant Proposal <br />that was submitted by Mrs. Beverly Bollenbecker, 4-H Afterschool <br />Coordinator. The State 4-H Office and North Carolina State <br />University gave counties the opportunity to submit grant <br />proposals. We were notified that the grant was approved on June <br />9, 1998. <br /> <br />The $18,000 grant will be used to improve the quality of school- <br />age care at three afterschool KIDS:PLUS 4-H sites: Coltrane- <br />Webb, Harrisburg and Mt. Pleasant. <br /> <br />The N.C. Department of Health and Human Services requires <br />counties to show cost sharing. The use of Extension office <br />space, with access to our phones, fax, computer, copier, printer, <br />and office supplies for the next eight months will meet our cost <br />sharing requirement. <br /> <br />cc: <br /> <br />Beverly Bollenbecker <br />Janet Purser <br />Doris Rogers <br />S.W.
