However, the attorneys were not notified in time to present at <br />this meeting. Further, Commissioner Barnhart suggested that the Board request <br />the State to give the counties direction on how to handle the issue of <br />capitalized interest. <br /> <br /> After brief discussion, Commissioner Mills withdrew his motion regarding <br />capitalized interest. Commissioner Carpenter withdrew her second to the <br />motion. The Board by consensus agreed to discuss the issue in closed session <br />on 3uly 13 with a possible public vote after the closed session. <br /> <br />Consideration of the Proposed FY 1999 Cabarrus County Budget <br /> <br /> Mr. Clifton reviewed the list of adjustments to the proposed FY 1998-99 <br />budget relating to items that had occurred since the budget was drafted. Me <br />asked the Board to include the following changes in its approval of the <br />budget. <br /> CHANGES MADE TO PRELIMINARY BUDGET <br /> FY 1998-99 <br /> <br />1. Added $38,000 for Industrial Incentive Grant for S & D Coffee, Inc. <br /> Adjusted employee insurance rates from $168 per employee to $175 per <br /> employee. (Increase of $50.106) <br /> <br /> <br />
