0 <br /> <br />Developer <br />says outlet <br />sure, thing <br />By MARK PLEMMONS <br />Staff Writer <br /> CONCORD - Tanger Outlet <br />Center Will soon close the deal on <br />property at Kings Grant to build its <br />outlet center. <br /> Earth work has been on-going <br />for several weeks at the 37-acre site <br />on the southeast corner of <br />Speedway Boulevard and 1-85, <br />directly across the interstate from <br />the Concord Mills megamall. , <br /> "Construction activity will pick <br />up significantly as soon as we close <br />on the property;" according to <br />Carrie Johnson Warren, spokesman <br />fo~ the Greensboro-based develop- <br /> <br />'Warren said the closing is' <br />expected within the next few days. <br /> Concord Mills is expected to b~. <br />one of the iarges~ mall on the East <br />Coast. <br /> Tanger plans 75 stores in about <br />300,000 square feet.
