Day, Deputy County Manager <br />Date: October 14, 1998 f <br />Re: Ordinance Directing Regulation of Cable Rates <br /> <br />In May, 1994 the Board of Commissioners adopted an ordinance enabling the <br />county to regulate certain cable television rates as allowed by the Cable <br />Television Consumer Protection and Competition Act of 1992 and the Federal <br />Communications Commission. <br /> <br />Since a new cable franchise was issued to Time Warner Cable last February, the <br />original ordinance requires updating. <br /> <br />Attached are the necessary amendments to that ordinance for your <br />consideration. <br /> <br />Please contact me if you have any questions. <br /> <br /> Office of the County Manager <br />P.
