PARKS AND RECREATION TRUST FUND' <br /> <br />LOCAL GOVER_NMENT 1998/1999 FL:'N-DING CYCLE <br /> <br />The following funding cycle is in compliance with administrative rules for fiscal year 1998/1999. <br /> <br /> PARTF funding cycle announcement letters are sent to local <br /> governments. Local governments should contact their regional <br />Early September, 1998 park and recreation consultants by October 1, 1997 to receive an <br /> application. <br /> The PARTF staffwill conduct a workshop for local governments <br /> to explain the application process and requirements. The workshop <br />October 8, 1998 <br /> is presented simultaneously at seven University of North Carolina <br />(9.30 a.m.- 12.30 p.m.) video conference sites. Attendance is recommended, but not <br /> required. <br />February 1, 1999 Applications are due by 5 p.m. to the respective regional park and <br />· recreation consultant. <br />February. and March, PARTF staffconducts site inspections, evaluates applications, and <br />1999 prepares projects summary, information for the Parks and <br /> Recreation Authority. <br /> Parks and Recreation Authority. meeting to select projects for <br />Early May, 1999 fimding from receipts through the first three quarters and announce <br /> project ~ant awards. <br /> Parks and Recreation Authori~' meeting to select projects for <br />July, 1999 funding with fourth quarter receipts and announce project ~ant <br /> awards. <br /> <br /> <br />
