- CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Meeting Date: .12/21/98 <br /> <br />Agenda Item # ~- I <br /> <br />SUBJECT: The Cabarrus County Alarm Ordinance. This ordinance will regulate the <br />residential, commercial, and industrial alarm systems operating within the unincorporated <br />area of the county. We will approach the municipalities within the county to adopt this <br />ordinance as well. The Development Services/Emergency Management Office will be the <br />administrator of the ordinance for the county and the municipalities. - SECOND READING <br />(The Board held the public hearing and adopted the ordinance on first reading <br />on November 16) <br />REQUESTED ACTION: To review and adopt the "Alarm Ordinance" as written, we are <br />requesting that the effective date of the ordinance to be March 1, 1999. This will allow our <br />department to set up the required administrative procedures to enforce the ordinance.
