SECTION 5. PROPER ALARM SYSTEMS OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />(A) An Alarm User shall: <br /> <br /> (1) maintain the premises and the Alarm System in a manner that minimizes or <br />eliminates False Alarm Dispatches, and <br /> <br /> (2) make every reasonable effort to have a proper house number posted in <br />accordance with the county road name/house number ordinance. This number shall be posted so as to <br />meet or exceed this ordinance, and shall in all cases, be visible from the roadway under adverse weather <br />conditions. <br /> (3) make sure that the directions given to the alarm monitoring station are accurate, <br />clear and concise. Further, in the event of an alarm activation the appropriate Alarm Key Holder shall <br />make every reasonable effort to respond or cause a representative to respond to the Alarm System's <br />location within thirty (30) minutes when notified by the county/city to deactivate a malfunctioning Alarm <br />System, to provide access to the premises, or to provide secudty for the premises, and <br /> <br /> (4) not manually activate an alarm for any reason other than an occurrence of an <br />event that the Alarm System is intended to report. <br /> <br /> (B) An Alarm User shall adjust the mechanism or shall cause the mechanism to be adjusted <br />so that a burglar alarm signal audible on the exterior of an Alarm Site sounds for no longer than ten (10) <br />minutes after being activated (or fifteen (15) minutes for systems operating under Underwriters <br />Laboratories, inc. standards 365 or 609). Fire Alarm audible signals may sound until manually reset. <br /> <br />SECTION 6. <br /> (A) <br /> <br />MONITORING PROCEDURES. <br /> <br />An Alarm user shall: <br /> <br />report alarm signals by using telephone numbers designated by the Alarm <br />Administrator; <br /> <br />(2) ascertain that an attempt is made to verify every alarm signal, except a <br />duress or hold up alarm activation before or dudng the request for a law <br />enforcement response to an alarm signal; <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />verify that the alarm monitoring service shall communicate Alarm Dispatch <br />Requests to the appropriate dispatch center in a uniform manner and form <br />determined by the Alarm Administrator; <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />vedfy that the alarm monitoring service communicates vedfied cancellations of <br />Alarm Dispatch Requests to the appropriate dispatch center in a manner and <br />form determined by the Alarm Administrator. <br /> <br />(E~) <br /> <br />The Alarm Administrator shall: <br /> <br /> <br />
