Memorandum <br /> <br />To: <br /> <br />From: <br /> <br />Date: <br /> <br />Subject: <br /> <br />Cathie Straub <br />Cabarrus County Budget Officer <br /> <br />Tom Dillard <br />Library Director <br /> <br />February 6, 1997 <br /> <br />Amendment of Kannapolis Library Budget to include <br />Cannon Trust Grant <br /> <br />This is to advise you that funds appropriated for the purchase of <br />Library Materials(books, audio-visual, etc.) for the Kannapolis <br />Library have been expended. I am requesting that funds granted <br />by The Charles A. Cannon Memorial Trusts One and Two to Cabarrus <br />County for the specific purpose of purchasing library materials <br />for the Kannapolis Library be transferred from Fund Balance <br />Appropriated to line item 82-10-355, Other Operational Cost. <br />The amount requested to be transferred is $ 35,000.00. These <br />funds should be adequate to cover the purchase of library <br />materials for the remainder of the current fiscal year. As <br />stipulated by the Cannon Charitable Trusts grant instrument, <br />these funds may only be used for the purchase of library <br />materials and then only after all other funds appropriated for <br />that purpose are exhausted. I also request that this be placed <br />on the agenda of the Board of County Commissioners at the meeting <br />schedueld for February 17, 1997. I have attached copies of the <br />grant documents for your review.
