Development Services

Below you will find totals based on work tickets that have been generated the last five
years. Each work ticket generated results in at least one on site inspection. You will see
that over the past five years the totals have increased each year. In order to keep up with
the increase of required inspections, we have had to increase the number of inspectors in
the field. The figures below will also show that as we have added employees the average
number of inspections per employee has been maintained at well over 2000 inspections per
year.

Yearly Totals forInspections

1992 1993 1994 1995 1996
18,684 18,057 22,307 25,455 27,873

Average Per Inspector

1992 1993 1994 1995 1996

2076 (9) 2006 (9) 2479 (9) 2546 (10) 2322 (12)

() number ofinspectorswho performed inspections, throughoutthe year.

Average Per Inspector For Each Trade

1992 1993 1994 1995 1996
Mech. 1346 (2) 1288 (2) 1747 (2) 2038 (2) 2236 (2)
Elect. 2107 (3) 2069 (3) 2422 (3) 2195 (3) 2255 (3)
Plbg. 2003 (2) 2000 (2) 2687 (2) 2964 (2) 2219 (3)
Bldg. 2833 (2) 2698 (2) 3087 (2) 2956 (3) 2494 (4)

( ) numbers of inspectors

***These totals are based on work tickets created.
submitted by Mike Downs
