Jan-30-97 02:15A P.05 Project No. 214)396 Raytheon/Rust Notes of Meeting GAM-041 Sheet 4 of 4 ITEM DESCRIPTION OF DISCUSSION ACTION COMPL BY DATE County Inspector's Visit to West North Carolina 1.0 The Cart)anus County Inspection officials were invited to visit the T-5 construction stte to review how on-site review was handled by New Hanover County officials. In attendance were Mike Downs, Kenny McCombs, Roger Smith, Norris James, Bryan Burros and Harold Sinclair. 2.0 On site review of drawings. 2.1 Aubrey Ken' Walker arranged for meetings/conversations be{ween New Hanover and Carbarrus County officials. 2.2 The Cart:mn'us Cou~j offictels were taken to the on-site plan review room, The room is locked and county inspectors have keys for gaining access. Twa sets of plans (1 full size and 1 reduced copy) are maintained in this office. The office is solely fl3r use by the officials and is to be treated as their office. If additional telephones, desks, files ere needed A. Walker provides theft to assist in plan review. 2.3 At Concord, the Officials will be issued badges and vehicle passes to the site. Site access will not be restricted to the officials. A. Walker will also be at Concord and will be the primary contact for the county officials. 3.0 Tour of T-5 Construction Area 3.1 AJI officials are taken through the Tower 5 and the backyard area. Concord is similar to T-5 end as construction is still going on in T~5 everyone was able to see howthe Concord project will look during construction and initial occupancy. 3.2 The temporary wail between the initial operating areas and the om-going construction ('A' & 'B' areas} was exam[ned. Emergency egress was delineated and shown as taped aisles in the construction area. The same start-up philosophy will be used on Concord. 4.0 Code Compliance 4.1 Minutes of the meeting with the North Carolina State Department of Insurance will be distributed 23 Jan 97 to the State (B. Gupton) and Cerbarrus County Officials together with Coming and RE&C. 4,2 The Department of Insurance will not be reviewing the drawings on a regular basis es the building size is less than that requiring such a review. 4,3 A meeting will be held within 3 weeks to review the code compliance drawings with the Department of Insurance. Kenny McCombs requested to be in attendance at this meeting. RE&C will work with Barn/Gupton to finalize a date for the meeting and RE&C inform Mike Downs and Kenny McCombs. 4.4 RE&C to prepare a report of hazards and chemicals used In the process. RE&C 5.0 Zoning 5.1 RE&C to issue a write-up of the proposed landscaping to be in accordance with the RE&C zoning requirements for Carbarrus County.
