Oltne <br />Northeast - Eddie Moose <br />Poplar Tent - Richard Peterlin <br />Winecoff - William Readling <br /> <br />Authorization to Execute the Deed Transferring 25± Acres at Lake Concord to the <br />Kannapolis City Board of Education <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Colmmissioner Mills, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart and <br />unanimously carried, the Board authorized the Chair to execute the deed on behalf <br />of Cabarrus County to transfer 25i acres of property at Lake Concord to the <br />Kannapolis City Board of Education for a school site with the understanding that <br />staff will reach agreement with the school system on a schedule for payment of <br />$225,000.00 (net) due to be paid from the school system capital outlay allocation <br />for the property. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mills, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart and <br />unanimously carried, the Board amended the previous motion to include a <br />contingency on the deed to allow for a permanent easement by the County to its <br />property and that the location of the road which intersects with County property <br />will be subject to the approval of the County Manager. <br /> <br />Resolution GrantinK Relief from Collectin~ Delinquent Taxes on Classified Motor <br />Vehicles <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mills, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart and <br />unanimously carried, the Board voted to relieve the Tax Collector of the <br />following char§es effective immediately, and for each subsequent year that this <br />type of delinquency occurs. <br /> <br />NCGS 105-373(h) The board of county commissioners may, in its <br />discretion, relieve the tax collector of the charge of taxes on <br />classified motor vehicles listed pursuant to G.S. 105-330.3(a)(1) <br />that are one year or more past due when it appears to the board that <br />the taxes are uncollectible. This relief, when granted, shall <br />include municipal special district taxes charged to the collector. <br /> <br /> <br />
