ICABARf]LIS COUNIYI

NORTH CARSLINA

Memo

To: Board of Co mmissioners
From: John D. Day, Deputy County Manager ~/,~~'
Date: June 13, 1997
Re: Cabarms County Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan

Attached is the proposed Cabarms County Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan. It was
prepared by Camp, Dresser and McKee in cooperation with County staff and representatives of
the City of Kannapolis and the Towns of Harrisburg and Mt. Pleasant. Adoption of such a plan is
required by G.S. 130A-309.09A(b) and Session Law 1995, Chapter 594, Section 30(a).

Since the final disposition of the County's~andfill and destination of its waste have yet to be
determined, the attached plan is tentative. Once these issues are resolved (you will receive
information on these issues in the next couple of months), the plan must be amended accordingly.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact me or Jonathan Marshall.

Office of the County Manager

P.
