P. 0, Bo:( $65

CONC0~:), N0~,T~ CAROLI~'A 280'-t6

June 4, 1997

Mrs. Sue Casper, Chairman
Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners
P. O. Box 707
Concord, NC 28025

Dear Mrs. Casper:

Pursuant to your request, we would like to report that our
Executive Committee discussed the attached letter which our
General Manager, Harold McEachern received from your County
Manager, Mr. Frank Clifton. A Fair Study Committee has been
appointed to analyze suggestions made in the letter.

We have employed the services of a qualified engineering manager
to assist in making appropriate recommendations to the committee
as to plans and cost in reference to the future of Cabarrus
County Agricultural Fair.

We respectfully ask that the county commissioners continue the
year-go-year lease that is currently in effect, at least until
this coam, ittee and the fair board has had sufficient time to
complete its study. A cancellation of this lease or even a
month-to-month lease would have a devastating affect on our carnival
contract, concessionaires, food booths and other vendor agreements.

Yours very truly,
President

Attachment
