Clifton, Ir., County Manager <br /> <br />RE: Sale of 4.754± Acres (Social Services et al.} <br /> <br />ACTIONS REQUESTED: <br /> <br />Approve the sale of 4.754± acres to Cedar Corp., LLC, authorizing the County Manager and <br />County Attorney to finalize contract documents establishing timing for the transaction <br />consistent with the County vacating the existing buildings. <br /> <br />Authorize the County Manager to have an architect complete plans for the renovation of the <br />existing Health Department Building to be used as an interim (2 to 5 years) location for <br />Extension Services et al. <br /> <br />Timing of the property sale closing will be consistent with the planned relocation of the Social <br />Services and Health Departments (April 1998); renovation of the existing Health building; and <br />relocation of the Extension Services et al. It is anticipated that the sale of the property will be phased <br />over the period from the date the Social Services and Health Departments move for the parcel "A" <br />until the Extension Service is relocated to the existing Health building. <br /> <br />The renovations to the existing Health building would include new floor treatments, wall <br />painting/covering and some minor interior wall modifications to accommodate extension homemaking <br />operations (kitchen set-up).
