BETTY GARMON <br />Retirement effective 12/3 i/97 <br />Commissioners Meeting: 12/15/97 <br /> <br />Betty Garmon has worked for the Board of Elections full time since 1991, part-time since <br /> <br />1986 and at the precinct for .....well, a very long time...Her retirement will be a loss, not <br /> <br />only to our office but throughout the county. <br /> <br />Betty has contributed much ...Her devotion, loyalty and hard-work is to be commended. <br />Her humor and warmth will be missed. Betty was always willing to take on any project <br />thrown her way and she completed each one above and beyond expectations. During <br />Christmas we all derived joy from her decorative talent for making the counties work <br />areas take on the Holiday Spirit...She motivated most of us, against our own will in most <br />cases, to take care of our health and to exercise. She had an amazing ability to find <br />humor in almost all circumstances and managed to find worth in nearly all situations, <br />sometimes when it was hard for the rest us to see the "silver lining". <br /> <br />We are very happy for her in the new adventures she will undertake, but we cannot help <br />but be sad for ourselves, because we are not only going to miss a great employee, but a <br />valued and cherished friend. We wish her the best! <br /> <br /> <br />
