STAFF ANALYSIS - PETITION 97-17 <br />Monday, November 17, 1997 <br /> <br />The mobile home would be located far enough off the road that the current natural vegetation (woods) <br />would provide a buffer from Highway 73 traffic. In addition, the closest structure to the proposed site is <br />the applicant's residence/business. <br /> <br />Staff feels that this rezoning request is compatible with the existing residential land uses and the natural <br />buffer zone exists that would effectively hide the proposed use and limit the impacts of locating a mobile <br />home in the area. <br /> <br />Recommendation of Planning, Staff: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that petition 97-17 to rezone property from MDR to LDR-SU be APPROVED. <br /> <br />Action by Planning and Zoning Commission: <br /> <br />On October 16, 1997, the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7-2 (super majority) <br />to APPROVE the rezoning of the property from MDR to LDR-SU. <br /> <br />Submitted by Brad J.
