To Provide for <br />Initiative and Referendum Authority for the Concord City <br />Council and the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners," <br />SHALL the County of Cabarrus be authorized, through <br />subsequent and appropriate action by the Board of <br />Commissioners, to increase the property tax homestead <br />exemption for all low-income elderly or disabled <br />residents of Cabarrus County who are qualified to receive <br />the exemption pursuant to North Carolina General Statute <br />Section 105-277.1, by increasing the portion of a <br />residence's value that is excluded from taxation in the <br />County from Twenty Thousand and No/100 Dollars <br />($20,000.00), as is currently provided by law, to Twenty- <br />Five Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($25,000.00), the <br /> <br /> <br />
