A formal bid advertisement was published <br />December 20, 1995. The Bid opening date was January 9, 1995. There were two (2) bids <br />received. One from Basnight and Associates and one from Pegg Recreation (no bid). <br /> <br /> We would like to recommend that the bid from Basnight and Associates for $39,318.00 <br />be accepted by the Board of Commissioners for the following reasons: <br /> <br />Basnight and Associates has been awarded 100% of all Playground Bids from our <br />Department since 1991-92. <br />There will be a potential 5% ($1,965.40) increase in the bid price effective <br />February 1, 1996. <br />The Incentive Grant Budget covers the Bid price. <br />All requirements were met. <br />All Cabarrus County and Kannapolis City School Playground Equipment since <br />1991-92 has been purchased from Basnight and Associates. <br /> <br /> Thank You very much for your attention in this matter.
