MEMORANDUM

Date:
To:
From:
subject:

January 26, 1996
John Day, Caharrus County Budget Director
Tom Dillard, Library Director
~mendment of 1995-96 Library Budget

This is to advise you that funds appropriated for the
purchase of Library Materials, i.e., books, films, audio-tapes,
etc., purchased from line item 82-10-355 Other Operational
Costs, in the current budget will soon be expended. As has
been our practice over the past several years, I am requesting
that funds granted to the Library by the Charles &. Cannon
Charitable Trusts during the previous fiscal year be transferred
into the Library Budget at the first February meeting of the
Board of County Commissioners. The amount requested for transfer
is $ 35,000.00. These funds should be adequate to cover the
purchase of Library Materials for the remainder of the current
fiscal year. As stipulated by the Cannon Charitable Trusts,
these funds may only be used for the purchase of Library
Materials and then only after all other funds appropriated for
the purchase of Library Materials are exhausted.

cc: Blair Bennett, Caharrus Finanace Director
