NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENTION TO SUBMIT <br /> TO THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE <br />AN~APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL OF AN INDUSTRIAL PROJECT <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus County Industrial Facilities and Pollution <br />Control Financing Authority (the "Authority") has determined to <br />issue its revenue bonds in the principal amount of not more than <br />$9,000,000 for the financing of all or a portion of the cost of <br />an industrial project on behalf of S&D Coffee, Inc., a North <br />Carolina corporation (the "Company"), and intends to submit to <br />the Secretary of the Department of Commerce an application for <br />approval of the project if the issuance of the revenue bonds and <br />the nature and location of the project are approved by the Board <br />of Commissioners of the County of Cabarrus, North Carolina. <br /> <br /> The project consists of the expansion of the Company's <br />existing beverage manufacturing facility through the construction <br />of an approximately 103,000 square foot addition to the Company's <br />existing facility, including the acquisition and installation <br />therein of machinery and equipment for the manufacture of <br />beverages (the "Project"). The Project will be located at 300 <br />U.S. Highway 29 South, Concord, Cabarrus County, North Carolina. <br />The approximate cost of the Project is $9,000,000 and the maximum <br />aggregate principal amount of bonds proposed to be issued by the <br />Authority is $9,000,000. The Project will be owned and operated <br />by the Company and will create approximately forty-five (45) <br />jobs. The Authority entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with <br />the Company dated October 2, 1995, committing the Authority, upon <br />the satisfaction of the terms contained in such agreement, to <br />issue its revenue bonds on behalf of the Project. <br /> <br /> Please take note that the Board of Commissioners of the <br />County of Cabarrus will hold a public hearing at the Cabarrus <br />County Governmental Center in Concord, North Carolina on <br /> February 19 , 1996, at 6:30 P.M., at which time any <br />person may be heard regarding the proposed issuance of such <br />revenue bonds and the nature and location of the Project. <br />Following the hearing the Board of Commissioners intends to <br />consider and take action on proposals to approve the issuance of <br />such revenue bonds and to approve the Project in principle. <br /> <br /> Any person wishing to comment in writing on the proposed <br />revenue bonds, the Project and the submission of the application <br />in connection therewith should do so, within fourteen (14) days <br />after the date of publication of this notice, to the Authority <br />and to the County Commissioners, c/o Clerk of County Board of <br /> <br /> <br />
