The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus, North <br />Carolina, met in regular session in the Commissioners' Meeting <br />Room in the Cabarrus County Governmental Center in Concord, North <br />Carolina, the regular place of'meeting, at 6:30 p.m., on February <br />19, 1996. <br /> <br /> Present: chairman Jeffrey L. Barnhart, presiding, and <br />Commissioners <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Also present: <br /> <br /> * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br /> The Clerk to the Board of Commissioners presented certified <br />copies of resolutions which had been received from The Cabarrus <br />County Board of Education and The Kannapolis City Board of <br />Education. <br /> <br /> Thereupon, Commissioner introduced the following <br />order authorizing bonds which was read: <br /> <br /> ORDER AUTHORIZING $49,000,000.00 <br /> SCHOOL BONDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Cabarrus County Board of Education and The <br />Kannapolis City Board of Education have certified to the Board of <br />Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus, North Carolina, <br />resolutions passed by said boards of education showing that <br />adequate school facilities are not now available in their <br />respective administrative units to comply with the requirements <br />of Section 2 of Article IX of the Constitution of North Carolina <br /> <br /> <br />
