RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE <br />~ABARRUS COUNTY CABLE FRANCHISE COMMISSION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 17.1 of the Cabarrus County Cable Television <br />Ordinance adopted November 9, 1978 (the "Ordinance"), the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners (the "Board") reserved the option to designate a Commission to promote and <br />develop access to cable television within Cabarrus County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board deems that it is appropriate and useful to establish a <br />Cabarrus County Cable Franchise Commission (the "Commission") to promote and develop <br />access to cable television within Cabarrus County and to advise the Board regarding issues <br />related to the provisions of such utility services. <br /> <br /> IT IS, THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Board that the Commission be and the <br />same is hereby established as follows: <br /> <br />* 1. Membership. The Commission shall be comprised of five (5) members appointed <br /> <br />by the Board, each of whom shall be a resident of Cabarrus County. Each member shall <br />be appointed to fill a specific seat on the Commission, representing the following areas and <br /> <br />for the following initial term: <br /> <br />Seat Numl~er .Area Represented Initial Term <br />1 Townships 1 - 4 1 year <br />2 Townships 1 - 4 2 years <br />3 Townships 5 - 11 3 years <br />4 Townships 5 - 11 1 year <br />5 At-Large 2 years <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br /> <br />
